There are many legitimate work at home jobs. However, you want to make sure you start one that is right for you and one that will be profitable. Exactly how do you do this? You need to ask yourself a few questions before diving in. I've put together some questions that will be helpful.
1. What are your interests and skills? Make a list of all of your favorite interests and skills. For instance: do you like decorating, are you good with your hands, do you like to read, are you good at managing money, etc? If you have a hard time coming up with things, ask your
friends and family. They usually know us better than we know ourselves.
2. What magazines and books do you always buy? This is a good way to figure out your interests. Could you figure out a few legitimate work at home jobs that you could create from your interests?
3. Do you like to work with people or do you like to work alone? Do you like to help the elderly, kids, or even animals? What kind of people do you most enjoy working with or serving? This is important because you want to make sure you are going to enjoy what you are doing.
4. What makes you smile? (Activities, people, events, hobbies, projects, etc.) What activities make you lose track of time? What makes you feel great about yourself? If you already know a great deal about a certain topic and you enjoy it immensely, it might be something you can do for a work at home job.
5. Something to visualize: If you had all the money in the world, what would you want to do? Of course we would probably want to go to the spa, beach, mountains, skiing, etc. But what is your passion? We all have giftings and talents in us and if we don’t use those giftings, we will never fully be satisfied. Use your giftings to serve and bless others as well as make a living with them.
Write your goals down. Long term and short term. What’s really important to you? Don’t be afraid to dream. Dream big! If you aim at nothing, you will hit nothing every time. When writing these things down, don’t forget to list things like awards or certificates you’ve earned. What other things have you learned, such as:administrative skills, customer relations, planning, sales, etc.
